Reordering a successful model requires more than its name and photo. Specifications preserve dimensions, materials, colours, fabric and accessories and help both parties discuss changes before a new batch is manufactured.
Create a card for each design
Use a fixed code, reference photos, clear dimensions and material, finish and upholstery details. Add optional parts sold separately. This prevents confusion between visually similar versions with different sizes, materials or piece counts.
Review materials before repeating production
Do not assume the same fabric or accessory is always available. Approve a substitute’s specifications, photographs or sample before production and establish whether it changes the product you sell. Version history also helps when previous customers request additional pieces.
Compare the batch with the approved reference
Set an inspection plan proportionate to quantity, linking observations to model codes. Overall and detailed photos can support review, but approval should identify the agreed version. Clarify how quantity, dimension or colour changes affect price and lead time.
